FOUR supporters of the governorship candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change, Mr. Adebayo Shittu were, weekend, killed in a fatal auto crash on Ife-Abuja road. The party's candidate and his deputy, were said to have survived the accident with serious injuries.
Until his defection to the CPC, Shittu was the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in the administration of Senator Rashidi Ladoja. It was gathered that the four people that died in the auto crash included the State Chairman of the party, Chief Folorunsho Yekini, the director of the campaign organisation for the governorship candidate, Dr. Lai Fatokun, the party's chairman in the Oluyole Local Government, Mr. Kola Adeoye, and the driver of the vehicle.
It was gathered that 11 other people on the entourage sustained serious injuries in the crash that occurred on Ife-Ede-Akure-Abuja road. The politicians were reportedly on their way to Abuja in a 14-seater bus to partake in the national convention of the party.
According to source, one of the tyres of the bus burst and led to instability of the vehicle which later skidded-off the road. According to one of the survivors of the accident, Mr. Taofeek Aiyegbajeje, the vehicle somersaulted thrice and flung the occupants in different directions. Aiyegbajeje said the accident victims had been rushed to the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, OAUTH. Though, the governorship aspirant was injured in the neck, he said he was recovering from the injuries he sustained. Shittu managed to speak from the hospital bed, describing the incident as painful and unexpected.

From 01 February 2010, we are increasing the number of images from 3 to 6 so that website visitors have a lot more photos of the vehicles to see. The reasoning here is that the more images of the cars you see, the easier it gets to make up your mind to buy. While it may not be possible to provide 6 pictures at all times, our Agents are doing all they can to ensure up to 6 photos are taken to show the key and vital parts of the vehicle.
